Thank you to everyone who attended the North Central Region Agriculture and Climate Conference held at the end of July in Peoria! The event was organized by the North Central Climate Collaborative, the USDA Midwest Climate Hub, Extension Foundation, and partners and brought together Extension and agricultural professionals from across the region.

The North Central Agriculture and Climate Conference united Extension and agricultural professionals from across the region to spotlight climate adaptation and mitigation research, outreach, and Extension programs. This was a much-needed opportunity to network with other extension colleagues from other land-grant institutions across the region, outreach professionals, ag advisors and technical service providers.

The conference – which was a day and a half July 31st (full day) – August 1st (half day) at the Peoria Civic Center – provided ample opportunity for Extension professionals and technical service providers to share their work and perspectives, and gain valuable knowledge on the climate-related work happening across the region. This was a valuable professional development opportunity for agricultural professionals as we are looking to increasing incorporate climate-smart education and outreaching into our programming.
